The protesting students of polytechnic institutes have postponed today's nationwide rail blockade as a meeting with the education adviser is expected later in the day to discuss their six-point demand.

Two student protesters confirmed the decision on Thursday morning, saying the blockade has been put on hold until the meeting, which is likely to be held at 11:00am. 
The next course of action will depend on the outcomes of that discussion.

In a Facebook post from "Polytechnic Notice", it was stated that representatives of the Technical Student Movement, Bangladesh have agreed to attend the meeting following an intervention by the chief adviser.

“The railway blockade will be relaxed during the meeting, as per the collective decision of all polytechnic institutes,” the statement said.

While the exact time of the meeting remains unconfirmed, protest organisers have assured that further steps will be announced accordingly.
