Education Adviser Professor C R Abrar on Wednesday (July 23) said if government want will vacate my position.
In response to a question the Adviser said, “The government will decide regarding my position, but I can tell till now no mismanagement has taken place.”
When asked whether he will resign or not, the advisor said, "You cannot interrogate me. My resignation has been sought. I have no intention of doing so on my own. Because I do not think there has been any deviation in my work. I informed you about the incident. You will consider it, is it right or wrong? I also have an appointment letter."
He said, "If the government think that there has been a disruption in my work, they can ask me to leave, then I will leave. I have nothing to cling to or justify myself with here."
Earlier, clashes broke out between students and members of law enforcement agencies in front of the secretariat over demands for the resignation of Education Advisor CR Abrar and Education Secretary Siddique Jobair.
