HSC, equivalent exam results on Thursday 

The results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be released at 10 am on Thursday (October 16), according to an official confirmation by Professor SM Kamal Uddin Hayder, Controller of Examinations at the Dhaka Education Board.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, it was announced that the results of all education boards — including the nine general boards (Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh), as well as the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board (Alim) and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (HSC BM/BMT) — will be published simultaneously.

This year, a total of 12,51,111 students sat for the examinations, which were held under 11 boards across the country. Of the candidates, 6,18,015 were male and 6,33,096 female. The exams were conducted in 2,797 centres nationwide.

Board-wise, the largest number of examinees were registered under the Dhaka Education Board, with 2,91,241 candidates. Rajshahi had 1,33,242 candidates, Cumilla 1,01,750, Jashore 1,16,317, and Chattogram 1,00,135. 

Other boards included Barishal with 61,025, Sylhet with 69,683, Dinajpur with 1,03,832, and Mymensingh with 78,273 candidates. Meanwhile, the Madrasah Board recorded 86,102 candidates for the Alim exam, while 1,09,611 students took part in the Technical Board’s HSC BM/BMT stream.

How to Access the Results:

Students and institutions can access the results through multiple channels:
Online: Results will be available at the official government website:
www.educationboardresults.gov.bd

Institutions can download results using their respective EIIN numbers, while individual students can retrieve their results from the same site or from the websites of their respective education boards.

SMS Service:
Results can also be obtained by sending an SMS in the following format:
HSC <space> First three letters of Board Name <space> Roll Number <space> 2025
Send the message to 16222.
(Example: HSC DHA 123456 2025)

Authorities have clarified that results will not be distributed at the Ministry of Education, education boards, or newspaper offices.

With anticipation building ahead of the official release, this year’s HSC and equivalent results mark a critical milestone for over 1.2 million students across Bangladesh.
