According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan has officially joined the cast of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Thalaivar 170’.

Taking to ‘X’, the legendary veteran South Indian film super star Rajinikanth announced,  “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170” directed by T.J. Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy!”.

‘Thalaivar 170’ is Rajinikanth’s 170th film acting in the lead role and will bring back one of the most awaited reunions of Indian Cinema.

The film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions. The film will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by S. R. Kathir and editing by Philomin Raj.

The film stars Rajinikanth, alongside an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan.
