Popular singer and actor Tahsan Khan has denied allegations of ever taking the BCS exam, refuting claims that he secured the top position in the Foreign Service cadre in the 24th BCS.
The allegations surfaced amid widespread criticism of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) over a recent question paper leak scandal.
A report claimed that former PSC chairman Professor Zinatun Nesa Tahmida Begum, Tahsan's mother, influenced his alleged success in the BCS exam, a claim Tahsan firmly denies.
"The entire issue is false. I have never sat for the BCS exam, so there's no question of securing the first position," Tahsan said.
In response to his mother's alleged involvement, he said, "There's a mistake here. The mentioned driver is just one of the office drivers, not my mother's driver."
The controversy gained traction following the arrest of 17 individuals, including five PSC officials, linked to the question paper leak of the Railway Recruitment Exam.
One of the accused, Syed Abed Ali, reportedly confessed to his involvement in multiple PSC exam leaks since 2005, leading to speculative claims about Tahsan's BCS results.
