DHAKA: Deshbangla Theatre will stage a play titled ‘Saras Danay Paran Pakhi’ at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in city’s Segun Bagicha area.

The play, scripted by Rashidul Islam Raja and directed by Irin Parvin Lopa, will be staged at 7:30pm on April 7.

The play upholds the rights of women. In the story, Binu, a girl, dreams that women will be able to move free and think free. They will be respected by all.

The girl becomes upset seeing the unexpected death of her elder sister Kanak, who was earlier raped. The reports of other raped girls also make Binu upset and aloof from her surroundings.

Rajkumar Pal has designed the set while Palash Sen is responsible for lighting.

Godhuli Mehjabeen will play the role of Binu.
