DHAKA: Star Cineplex will screen the 3D version of action, drama and sci-fi movie ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ at its halls in Basundhara City Shopping Mall in city’s Panthapath area.

The inaugural show of this latest Hollywood sequel movie will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday.

‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ is directed by Matt Reeves and written by Mark Bomback, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

It stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

It is the sequel to the 2011 film ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’, which began 20th Century Fox’s reboot of the original Planet of the Apes series.

It is the eighth theatrical film in the franchise.

The film was released in the United States on July 11, and was met with critical acclaim, with critics praising its visual effects, story, direction, acting, and emotional depth, says Wikipedia.
