DHAKA: Ekushey Padak and National Film Award winner noted filmmaker Chashi Nazrul Islam is on life support as his health condition deteriorated Saturday.
His younger daughter Anni Islam told banglanews that her father, who has been suffering from cancer, was earlier shifted to Intensive Care Unit from cabin at city’s Lab Aid Hospital and then kept on life support.
Akram Hossain, Doctor attending to Chashi Nazrul Islam, also said that the condition of the 76-year-old director is fluctuating.
Chashi Nazrul Islam, who went home from hospital a few days ago, had to admit again at Lab Aid on December 31.
The eminent film maker was given chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
