Korea-Bangladesh designers’ artworks displayed in city

DHAKA: A nine-member delegation led by Korea National University of Arts Professor Park participated in a two-week workshop with students of Graphic Design department of Fine Art Institute of Dhaka University.

Eight students from Korea and twenty two students from Bangladesh showcased three presentations on their research outputs of the workshop upholding the graphic design practice of Korea.

Following the workshop, the attendees exhibited their artworks at Zainul Gallery with the contents of 15-day workshop, said a press release issued by Korean embassy on Wednesday.

First Secretary of the embassy of the Republic of Korea in Dhaka Miseol Park, and Graphics Design department chairman Maksudur Rahman jointly inaugurated the exhibition on August 27.

Appreciating the Dream Program of the participating students, Maksudur Rahman hoped that they would continue the practice of their design skills.

However, the Korean team arrived in Dhaka on August 16, under the Dream Program taken by the Korea foreign affairs ministry in the field of culture and art in Bangladesh since 2013.
