5-day Bengal classical music fest kicks off

DHAKA: A five-day classical music event ‘Bengal Classical Music Festival Bangladesh’ kicked off at Army Stadium in city on Friday night.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith inaugurated the fest, organized by Bengal Foundation, in the evening.

Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor, Square Toiletries Ltd managing director Anjan Chowdhury, BRAC Bank Ltd managing director Selim R F Hossain and Robi Axiata Ltd chief operating officer
The fourth edition of the classical music event has been dedicated to noted artist Qayyum Chowdhury.

Main attraction of the festival will be the performance of tobla by Ustad Zakir Hossain and flute by Joyaprada Rammurti. Besides, renowned artistes, both from home and abroad, will perform at the festival here at Army Stadium in the city.
