DHAKA: On the occasion of its 11th founding anniversary cultural organization Bhawaiya Angan arranged a soiree of bhawaiya songs at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in city’s Segun Bagicha area on April 8.

Bangla daily Jugantor features editor Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai inaugurated the event, chaired by Bhawaiya Angan chairperson Salma Mustafiz.

Moreover, Dhaka University mass communication and journalism department associate professor Sabrina Sultana Chowdhury unveiled the cover of 45th edition of the organization’s quarterly.

Singers of bhawaiya songs, Arthi Rahman, Monfa Mustafiz, Sultana Zaman, Sahos Mustafiz, Lutu Sarkar, AKM Mustafizur Rahman, S Bijoy and Nur Mohammad, among others, presented traditional and modern bhawaiya songs at the soiree.
