‘The Dreamstage’ to be BD’s first animated feature film

DHAKA: Kazi House Productions and Ogniroth Studios are jointly working to make Bangladesh’s first animated feature film titled ‘The Dreamstage’.

Kazi House Productions’ CEO Amit Ashraf will be the director of the film that is based on an autistic person’s struggle to fix their mind in dreams.

Ashraf, also the director of the upcoming feature film ‘Udhao’, which is scheduled to be released this year, told banglanews24.com that he had been working in the field of animation for a pretty long year.

‘I have earned the experience of making animated short films that’s why I am now working for a feature film,’ Ashraf said adding, ‘works including the story development for ‘Dreamstage’ is going well’.

Zubuyer Kaolin, the CEO of Ogniroth Studios and CG animator, will be a partner, along with other local animators and leading artists, in making the first animated feature film in Bangladesh.

‘The story of this about 100-minute film is still being developed. It will be a fantasy, family animation depicting an autistic character’s struggle to fix her psyche in dreams,’ Ashraf, who is also a storywriter of the film, said.

‘Language of the animated film will be in English and it will also be co-producing with studios outside of Bangladesh,’ he added

According to the director, they are also working to involve the Bangladeshi animators at home and abroad in this project.
