Talented Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan appeared alongside Indian actress Mandira Bedi on a Mumbai stage this week, sharing thoughts on the emotional depth of motherhood while subtly promoting her new film Dear Maa.

The event, hosted by a prominent Bollywood production house, brought together the two actors in a conversation that touched on maternal bonds beyond biological ties. 

Jaya, holding the script of her latest film, said, “Motherhood is not just about blood. It’s an emotional journey.”

Dear Maa, which released on Friday in West Bengal. 

The film, directed by a Kolkata-based team, explores the heartfelt relationship between a mother and her adopted child.

Many observers described the gathering as a “silent promotion” of Dear Maa, achieving both artistic impact and subtle publicity.

The film also stars Indian actors Chandan Roy Sanyal and Saswata Chatterjee and revolves around the emotional complexities of adoption and maternal love.
