DHAKA: Film star Shakib Khan on Tuesday finally admitted Apu Biswas as his wife as extreme social outcry emerged against him following her bombshell claim in a live TV interview a day earlier.

Shakib Khan came up with this statement in several media this noon (April 11).

He said, “Apu is my wife and Abraham Khan is my son. Apu was misguided to plot against me. Now our relationship is normal. Earlier on Monday, I criticized Apu out of anger.”

Shakib also admitted his own mistake about what he said earlier. In response to Apu’s claim about their marriage in 2008 and having a son together, he earlier on Monday told that he will take responsibility of his son, not Apu.

On the other hand, Apu Biswas said she is very honored about Shakib’s decision.
Earlier on Monday, Apu Biswas came up with the claim that she is the wife of Shakib Khan and they have an 8-months-old son.

In the live interview with private TV channel News24, Apu Biswas along with her son, said they got married on April 18 in 2008 at Shakib’s residence where members of both families were present.

Apu changed her name as ‘Apu Islam Khan’ during the marriage. Apu was abroad during her pregnancy and returned home after the baby had been born.

At some point during the interview, Apu, bursting in tears, said, “But I have kept the marriage a secret for the betterment of Shakib’s carrier. This would’ve been a great story for a film. But it’s the story of my life.”

“I have sacrificed too much for Shakib and now at the verge of my patience. Shakib undermined my contribution in his life and insulted me. But I can’t bear it any more.”

“I am worried about my child’s future. I can’t ruin his life for the mistake I committed. Shakib gave us money but did not take responsibility of his son. Shakib did not give recognition to our son.”
