DHAKA: Veteran film and television actor Nazmul Huda Bachchu passed away on early Wednesday (June 28).

He was 78.

Bachchu breathed his last at Square Hospitals in Dhaka while undergoing treatment there at around 04:20am, said family sources.

Earlier, he was admitted to the hospital due to low pressure and fever. Moreover, on Tuesday (June 26), medical reports showed that he was affected with some cardiac problems. 

Bachchu was a regular face in popular magazine television program ‘Ittyadi’. 

Some of Bacchu starring films are—Oggatonama (2016), Runway (2010), Chandra Grahan (2008), Daktar Bari (2007), Bidrohi Padma (2006), Chandra Katha (2003), Chitra Nodir Pare (1998), Srabon Megher Din (1999), Shongkhoneel Karagar (1992), Surjo Dighol Bari (1979), Alongkar (1978), Sareng Bou (1978) and Behula Lakhinder (1977). 

Born in in 1938 in Dhaka, Bacchu was honored with several distinguished awards for his contribution in acting.

After the namaj-e-janaja at Azad Mosque in Gulshan, Bacchu will be buried at Banani Graveyard on Wednesday, said the family.
