DHAKA: All the churches across the city have been adorned with the traditional candid outfit coloring pine green, snow white, heart red, and obviously with the Christmas trees.

Celebrities belonged to the Christian community also have wide-array plans to celebrate their largest religious festival.

For Andrew Kishore, a dominant name for folk and playback of the country’s music scene, it makes no difference. He shared his thoughts to Banglanews on the eve of Christmas Day.

“Nothing ever happened to my life which can be termed as ‘exclusive’. To me, all the days are same. Work is the important gospel principle. Therefore, I don’t celebrate Christmas Day with any extravagant way and or don’t lay out any plan marking the occasion.”

Kishore reminisced his childhood Christmas days: “It was very attractive occasion during boyhood. We used to adorn the Xmas tree since a few days prior to each Christmas Day.”

“We would hang out altogether to stop by the Christmas trees. It would feel gracious to take various gifts from the Santa Claus”, he added.

However, the illustrious artist has planned to perform at the stage shows on the festival days, like the preceding years. He will be seen in a gala concert at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.

Andrew Kishore, fondly called as ‘Playback King’, stepped into the singing career through doing playback for 1977 film ‘Mail Train’.

He has played back about 15,000 songs. ‘Jiboner Golpo Achhe Baki Olpo’, ‘Hayre Manush’ and ‘Dak Diyachhen Doyal Amare’ are a few of the most popular single tracks of the adept artist. He bagged National Film Award eight times for his contribution to the music industry.
