Three dengue patients died and 899 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours till Thursday (Oct 27) morning.

In the 24 hours, 491 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 408 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 2,259 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 1,130 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 34,822 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 31,219 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 123 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
