At least six dengue patients have died, and 953 others were hospitalized in the past 24 hours until 8:00 am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Two deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation, while Dhaka North City Corporation, Barishal, Khulna, and Rajshahi divisions each reported one death.

With the latest fatalities, the total dengue deaths this year have reached 230, and total cases have climbed to 54,559. So far, 51,783 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Currently, 2,546 dengue patients are receiving treatment nationwide, including 1,657 from outside Dhaka.
