Three dengue patients died and 525 people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Monday (Oct 3), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 352 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 173 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,598 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 546 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 17,820 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 15,615 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 61 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
