Dengue: 637 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 637 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning (Oct 06), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 417 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 220 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,771 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 562 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 19,283 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 16,887 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 63 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
