Four more dengue patient died and 677 people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Tuesday (Oct 11), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 462 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 215 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,826 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 667 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 21,870 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 19,309 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 74 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
