The bodies of three Israeli hostages returned by Hamas overnight have been formally identified as Tamir Nimrodi, Etian Levi, and Uriel Baruch, according to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum.
A fourth body was also handed over, but its identity has not yet been released.
The transfers follow heightened pressure from Israel, which has warned that humanitarian aid to Gaza and the reopening of the Rafah border crossing will remain restricted until all 28 deceased hostages are returned.
The slow pace of repatriation has sparked mounting frustration in Israel, with families and officials demanding answers. On the Palestinian side, there are growing concerns that the delay may jeopardize the fragile ceasefire currently in place.
According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the bodies of 45 deceased Palestinians held in Israeli custody were returned to Gaza on Tuesday.
However, aid agencies operating in the enclave say the humanitarian situation remains dire, with major obstacles to both supply delivery and long-term reconstruction efforts.
In a separate development, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Hamas, stating: “If Hamas doesn’t disarm, we will disarm them.”
His comments come alongside renewed calls for his proposed 20-point Middle East peace plan, which includes conditions for disarmament, regional cooperation, and reconstruction under international supervision.
