DHAKA: At least 30 people have been killed and 24 others wounded in a bomb attack on a Sunni mosque in the central Iraqi city of Baquba.
Police said Sunni and Shia worshippers were targeted after joining each other for Friday prayers.
There have recently been several deadly bombings in Baquba, a religiously mixed city 60km (35 miles) north of Baghdad.
Sectarian violence has surged across the country in recent months, reaching its highest level since 2008.
More than 800 people were killed in August alone, according to the United Nations, with Baghdad province worst affected.
Most attacks appear to be the work of Sunni militants linked to al-Qaeda.
