KOLKATA: The third Bangladesh book fair is set to be begun in Kolkata on Thursday.
Bangladesh deputy high commissioner to Kolkata in a press conference confirmed the matter to banglanews.
A total of 28 publishers from Bangladesh will join the fair at Gaganendra showroom of Nandan-Rabindra Sadan Chattar in Kolkata.
The book fair will continue till October 2 and without Sunday everyday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm will be opened for all.
Bangladesh deputy high commissioner Abida Islam, press secretary Kazi Mostak Joyeer, Academic and creative publisher’s association president Osman Goni and Book fair convener Farid Ahmed were present at the press conference.
West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu, bagladesh cultural affairs ministry secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas Education ministry secretary Dr Kamal Abdel Naser Chowdhury Bangla Academy Director General Shamsuzzaman Khan Bangladesh deputy high commissioner, renowned writers and cultural personalities will also be present in the inaugural programme.
