DHAKA: Pickets hurled at least seven cocktails near Rail Gate, Shibbari, Kolapotti and Chhayabithi area in the city and torched a bus near Abullahpur area on Tuesday.

Two units of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the fire in bus around 6.00pm.

On the other hand, police opened fire few round of bullets to avert the violent activities by pickets.

Gazipur town police outpost Sub-Inspector confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said, “Tight security measures have been taken to avert further untoward situation in the city.”

Besides, pickets blasted at least 10 cocktails and vandalized several vehicles near Jasimuddin intersection at Uttara in the capital in the evening.
