An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Dhaka on Monday (Oct 2) night.

The earthquake was felt at 6.45 pm.

The epicenter was 3km from Resubelpara of India's Meghalaya, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Fortunately, no casualties or damage to properties have been reported
