There is no barrier on the way of holding a dialogue but it should be held on the basis of the country’s existing law, said Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today (October 15).
“Whatever the misunderstanding, I took the responsibility on my own shoulder to resolve it,” Anisul said while talking to reporters at his ministry office in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, the US pre-election assessment delegation has underscored the need for holding an open and functional dialogue among the country’s main political parties for the sake of holding the next general election in a free, fair and inclusive manner.
Besides, echoing the same voice, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that his party will consider holding dialogue with BNP if the party’s four-point conditions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, dissolution of parliament, resignation of the Election Commissioners and holding polls under a non-party caretaker government are withdrawn.
