The High Court (HC) on Sunday (October 15) said the report submitted by the government-formed investigation committee on custodial death of Naogaon's union-level land office employee Sultana Jasmine has no specific findings.
HC found the report of the Committee on the entire incident of death of Jasmine in RAB custody in Naogaon not satisfactory.
The HC bench of Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Mohammad Mahbub Ul Islam set November 29 for hearing of the rule over the issue.
A government-formed investigation committee submitted the sealed report to the HC bench on August 17.
Advocate Manoj Kumar Bhowmick appeared for the writ while Deputy Attorney General Samarendra Nath Biswas heard on behalf of the state in the court.
Jasmine died in the RAB custody in Naogaon on March 24, two days after she was picked up by the force.
The RAB in Nagaon picked up Jasmine, in a white microbus on her way to the office on March 22, and hours after her detention she was admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital.
Rajshahi RAB-5 Company Commander CPSC Major Nazmus Sakib said there was a complaint against Sultana Jasmine of financial scam, and allegations of unusual money transactions at her bank account.
Based on the complaint, she was taken into RAB custody from Muktir Mor area investigating, later, she fell ill soon after arrest, he said.
