At least two people were killed, and six others injured after a private car and CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head-on in Netrokona sadar’s Challisha union Jhawshi area. 

The incident happened on Netrokona- Mymensingh highway on Friday (January 26) afternoon.

According to locals, Netrokona bound private car collided head-on with Mymensingh bound auto rickshaw. Two people were killed on the spot, and at least six others were injured in this incident. 

Of the deceased one identified as member of Bangladesh police Azizul Hakim, hailed from Mymensingh’s Fulfur, said locals.

Fire service members recovered the bodies of the injured people and rushed them to Mymensingh medical college as their condition was deteriorating, the locals also said.

Netrokona police station officer in charge (OC) Md. Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter.

Two people including a member of police were killed. And the bodies have been sent to the morgue for autopsy, said the official.
