Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given directives to authorities concerned to reduce tariff on four products which include rice, edible oil, sugar and date.

She gave the directive in a cabinet meeting today (January 29) at her office in the capital's Tejgaon.

Later, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain in a press conference disclosed the decisions taken in the meeting.
 
Ahead of the Holy month of Ramadan, the premier gave directives to National Board of Revenue (NBR) to reduce tariff on the four products. Now the NBR will decide how much tariff will be reduced.
