Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (February 1) predicted that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over south, south-east and north-eastern region and at one or two places over the north and central region including the capital.
According to the Met office latest bulletin, Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions.
Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to morning. Inland river transport may disrupt temporarily due to thick fog.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 28.9 degree Celsius at Khepupara and today's minimum temperature 10.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 34 millimeters (mm) at Satkhira.
Trough of easterly low lies over Gangetic West Bengal and its adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
