A 25-year-old youth’s body recovered from the banks of the Brahmaputra River near Zainul Abedin Park in Mymensingh city.

The unidentified body was first spotted by the locals this morning (Friday 9), later they informed police. The deceased’s hands and feet were tied with a muffler.

Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moin Uddin confirmed the matter.

He said after locals informed the matter, members of police reached at the scene and recovered the body.

Police suspect that the youth was killed elsewhere on Thursday, and his body was dumped there. The police, PBI, and CID visited the scene and collected evidence.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Efforts are underway to identify him, the OC said.
