Two siblings died today (February 10) from electrocution at Uribunia village in Nesarabad upazila of Pirojpur district. 

The deceased were identified as Nadim Haque (24) and Enam Haque (20), sons of Aynal Haque of the village.

HM Shahin, officer-in-charge of Nesarabad Police Station confirmed the matter. 

According to the local, a farmer set an electric rat control trap on his land adjacent to a canal.

Later, Enam and Nadim went to the canal adjacent to the land to catch fish on Friday night.

Unfortunately, they were unaware of the trap they got electrocuted when they stepped into the land while fishing.

Local Union Parishad (UP) member Md Mizan said that people found both of them in an unconscious condition on Saturday morning and informed police.
