A total five people, including two women, died after a brick-laden truck hit a three-wheeler 'easybike' in Dumuria upazila of Khulna on Saturday (Feb 10) afternoon.

The deceased were easybike driver Biswajit Biswas, 30, passengers Sabbir Moral, 23, Nipa Dali, 25, a 26-year-old unidentified woman, four-year-old Onni Biswas, hailing from several areas of the upazila.

Dumuria Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sukanta Saha confirmed the matter.

The accident happened when the vehicles collided head-on in Angardoha village in Kharniya union of the upazila, leaving two dead on the spot and five others critically injured, he added. 

Police impounded the truck and the Easybike from the spot, OC said.
