The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in the last 24 hours till 6 am Monday (February 12) arrested 30 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.

Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, according to a DMP statement issued today.

They seized 473 Yaba pills, 139.5gm (51 packets) of heroin, 50 bottles of Phensedyl, and 1.4kg (45 packets) hemp from their possessions, according to the statement. 

According to the statement, 22 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
