The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in the last 24 hours till 6 am Monday (February 19) arrested 46 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.

Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, according to a statement issued by DMP today.

They seized 10,182 pieces of Yaba tablets, 32.6kg hemp, 4gm heroin, 90 bottles of Phensedyl, 10 liters of local liquor, and 5 pieces of injectable drugs from their possessions, according to the statement. 

According to the statement, 34 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
