A man was killed allegedly after calling him away from home in Gazipur city on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Hosen Ali, 22, son of Nur Nobi hailed from city’s Kunia Targacha area. 

According to locals, Hosen was a garment worker, later, left the job. He used to accompany the fraudsters in the area. There were some disputes aroused among them. 

However, around 10 pm Hosen’s friends called him away from home by telling about prayers. Later, at 11 pm he was found critically injured near a fishery firm at Kunia Targacha area, said locals.

Police said, locals informed the matter to police by dialing 999, on receiving the information, Gacha police station recovered the dead body at night and sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue. The victim has stab wounds on his throat, ears, and abdomen.

The police initially doubt that Hosen was killed by his friends in a planned manner due to a previous dispute.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gacha Police Station Shah Alam confirmed the matter today (Feb 26). 

Some associates involved in the incident have been identified. Efforts are on to arrest them. Legal action is under process in this incident, said the officer.
