Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 72 hours commencing at 9am today (Feb 26).
According to the met office bulletin, a trough of westerly low lies over Bihar and adjoining area and a seasonal low lies over the south Bay, extending its trough to the north Bay.
Night and day temperatures may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius, the Met office said in a forecast, the bulletin added.
Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 31.3 degrees Celsius in Cox’s Bazar in Chattogram division while today's minimum temperature 10.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 8 millimeters (mm) in Tangail.
