The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) in the United Arab Emirates is responsible for issuing Emirates ID cards to both citizens and expatriates residing in the country.
Possessing an Emirates ID card is mandatory for all UAE citizens and residents to facilitate access to government services.
To apply for a new Emirates ID card:
UAE nationals, GCC nationals, and expatriates, including those from the Philippines and Bangladesh, can submit their applications through the ICP website or at an accredited typing center.
Applicants may be required to visit one of ICP’s service centers to provide their biometric information.

Documents Required for Emirates ID for Expatriates from Bangladesh and the Philippines:
- A valid passport.
- A valid residence permit, residence origin permit under renewal procedures, or a valid residence permit for individuals who did not obtain an identity card when their residence permit was issued.
- A personal photo (4.5 x 3.5 cm) with a white background, applicable to all age groups.
- For individuals under 15 years old: Original birth certificate, passport of one of the parents, or Emirates ID (if available).
- Original agency certificate if the application is submitted by a representative on behalf of the applicant who is not present during the application process.
Emirates ID Card Fee Update for Citizens of Bangladesh and the Philippines:
The Emirates ID card fee has been revised as follows:
- AED 100 (depending on the selected validity period): Card issuance fee for a five-year period.
- AED 150: Service fee.
- AED 30: Typing Center fee.
- AED 150: Fees for urgent service, applicable for services conducted at customer happiness centers.
