A local Chatradal leader was shot dead and four others were injured during a clash between two groups of ruling party in Cumilla on Friday (March 15) evening.

The deceased was identified as Arnab, 30.

The incident occurred around 3:00pm over establishing supremacy over a human hauler stand in Shasangachha area.

Firoz Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station confirmed the matter. 

All those involved in the clash are supporters of ruling party, he said.

A man was shot dead in the incident, he added.
