Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that a mild heat wave which is sweeping over many places of the country, may spread.
Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Barishal division and the districts of Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Moulvibazar, Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni and Bandarban and it may spread, said the bulletin valid for the 24 hours starting from 9am today (April 12).
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, it said.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 40.0 degrees Celsius at Rangamati and the minimum temperature today was 19.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 6.19pm today and rises at 5.40am tomorrow in the capital.
