State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury said he would request the Italian government to increase the visa wing to lessen brokers’ strength in VFS Global.

He also assured that Bangladesh would urge Italian authorities to distribute visa processing services to several companies instead of one company.

The state minister told Banglanews that he will sit with the Italian ambassador today (May 21).

During the meeting with the Italian ambassador, the Italian visa process will be discussed to make it more accessible so that aspirants do not have to wait for a long time and their suffering is reduced, said the minister.

He said the visa processing centre is handled by the embassy if they discuss it with the government. I will talk about growing some more visa wings, including ourselves, instead of giving the responsibility to a company currently in charge. Doing this will solve the problems.
