Four alleged members of a dacoit’s gang were arrested by Kotwali police in Chattogram’s Marinars road area last night.

The arrested are Md Sohel, 30, Belal Hossain, 37, Md Tushar, 19 and Md Rubel,22.

Mehidi Hasan, sub-inspector of Kotwali thana, said police arrested the four alleged dacoits while they were preparing for robbery adjacent to S Alam bus depo, targeting the vehicles and pedestrians.  

The gang usually roams around the city and district with private cars to commit robberies, he added.

Later, a machete, knives, one stolen mobile phone and SIM were recovered from their possession.
