The government has cancelled the leave of officials and employees of all ministries, divisions, and departments along with city corporations and municipalities to tackle the aftermath of Cyclone Remal.

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Md Mohibbur Rahman announced it after an inter-ministerial meeting at the secretariat in Dhaka on Sunday (May 26).

The Deep Depression over West-central Bay and adjoining area moved Northwards intensified into a Cyclonic storm "Remal" first and then into a Severe Cyclonic Storm over Northwest Bay and adjoining area and was centred at 6 am today.
