The interim government of Bangladesh has decided to revoke diplomatic passport (Red passport) of the ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
This information was revealed on Wednesday (August 21) by the Passport Directorate.
At the same time, if this passport is cancelled, they will have to go through the legal process to get a normal passport. Especially those who have a criminal case or have been arrested will not get a normal passport without a court order.
According to a memorandum of understanding signed between Bangladesh and India on July 15, 2018, one holding red passport can stay in Indian up to 45 days without any visa.
Therefore, according MoU Sheikh Hasina will easily be able to stay in India about 45 days with red passport.
