A total of 303 Ansar members were produced before Dhaka court on Monday (August 26) in the cases filed over Sunday night's clashes between demonstrators and students in front of the Secretariat gates in Dhaka.

"303 Ansar members were produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Dhaka in the cases filed with Shahbagh, Ramna and Paltan police stations. They have been kept inside the court lockup," a police official working in the court said.

On Sunday night, despite the government's assurance of fulfilling their demands, Ansar members continued demonstration by blocking the Secretariat gates and clashed with students and people. At least 50 people were injured.

Immediately after the incidents, over 300 Anser men were arrested.

On the other hand, Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of Ramana Division Sarwar Jahan said since last night a total of 352 Ansar members have been arrested and cases filed against them.
