TANGAIL: A woman along with her daughter was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway under Mirzapur upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Kamla Begum, 27, wife of Rubel Mia and their two-year old daughter Rozina, residents of the upazila.

Police sources said a rashly driven passenger bus rammed them in the area around 4:30pm while they were crossing the road, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed in and recovered the bodies.

Sub-Inspector of Mirzapur Gorai Highway Thana M Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
