The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all meetings, gatherings, and processions in and around the Bangladesh Secretariat and the official residence of the Chief Adviser, Jamuna.

In a public notice issued on Thursday morning (March 13), DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali announced the restrictions, citing the need to maintain public order.

The ban, enforced under Section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/76), applies to the Bangladesh Secretariat, Jamuna, and surrounding areas, including Hotel Intercontinental intersection, Shahbagh intersection, Kakrail intersection, and Minto Road. 

The restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.
