The government has asked all factories to clear all pending wages, bonuses, and dues of workers by the 20th of Ramadan.

A decision has been made at the 85th meeting of the Tripartite Consultative Council (TCC).

The meeting, held on Wednesday (March 12) at the Ministry of Labor's office in Bijoynagar, covered issues such as the payment of workers’ dues, Eid holidays for workers, law and order situation in labor-intensive areas, and the distribution of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) products in industrial zones.

The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, AHM Shafiquzzaman, and attended by representatives from the government, employers, workers, various ministries, the industrial police, the Bangladesh Army, the Department of Factory and Establishment Inspection, and the Department of Labor.
