DHAKA: A fire broke out at Jiban Bima Tower in capital’s Motijheel area on Wednesday noon.

Sources said the fire originated at ninth floor of the building at about 12:00 noon.
 
On information, two fire fighting units from Fire Service headquarters rushed to the spot at about 12:20pm and brought the fire under control.

The extent of loss caused by the fire could not be estimated immediately.
